Some of Roatan's most scenic reef sites are best explored by snorkel! Shallow reefs and lagoons are just a short swim from the shore, or are easily accessible by boat. Critical to the survival of the reef system, these areas serve as the nursery for hundreds of species of fish that hide in the grasses and coral heads. In slightly deeper water, snorkelers can swim among mature coral colonies- home to the intermediate and adult fishes, crabs, lobsters, conchs, squid, rays and turtles. |
